Poster Submission

We encourage you to submit an abstract for the poster presentation on Friday evening, October 18th. Your poster can be an overview of your core, a description of a new service or technology, an overview of your LIMS system, etc. The goal is to make the poster informative for other core technology labs.

POSTER SIZE: posters should be no more than 48 inches wide x 48 inches high. If you already have a larger poster, you can still submit; however it may exceed the size of the poster board and hang over the edges.

Poster set up: Friday, Oct 18, 8:00 AM (Pins will be provided)

Poster take down: Saturday, Oct 19, before noon


Instructions for Abstract Submission

Please submit abstracts no later than Sept. 23 using the online form.  The total length of the abstract should not exceed 300 words.

Instructions and Information about Travel Awards

This year we will be offering travel awards.   The awards will cover transportation expenses only (airfare, hotel, taxis) up to $500.  Meeting Registration is included with the travel award and will be reimbursed should you receive an award.  Original receipts are required for reimbursement. To be eligible for a travel award, applicants must submit a poster abstract and a justification using the Abstract Submission Form.  We will begin selections on Sept 13 and finish on Sept 20th.  For first consideration please submit your abstract early.

Qualifying Expenses:  Airfare or Train travel (including baggage fees) – Economy class airfare or train travel from the city of residence to Madison, WI. Mileage if traveling to the conference by car (in place of air or train travel), based on current federal rates.  Mileage to get to and from the airport in your city of residence will not be reimbursed.  If an individual is driving, mileage will be reimbursed up to the amount an air or train ticket would have cost, or whichever is least. Payments are based on actual expenses so original receipts will be required for reimbursement.

Please note that the MWACD does not reimburse for costs of rental cars, internet or telephone charges, alcohol, printing charges, or other incidentals not listed above. Meals will not be reimbursed through the MWACD Travel Award.
